A WelcomeWelcome to our new web site. Actually, we are not new. We have been on the net since 1998 as Natural Health Consultants. We have created this site to better conform with the edicts of the US government which objected to having health information in conjunction with the sale of products. Therefore, we have separated them. This site contains a member's only section in which you can search for information on many aspects of alternative medicine. It's easy and fast and its free. If you are not already a member, give it a try. We think you will find it very useful. You have only to submit an agreement form. You will find information on health conditions, articles (written by Gerry Wolke, RPh., unless otherwise stated,) information on substances, and even a glossary with more information about various terms used in the information. Content is being added almost daily. The easiest way to start is to click on Conditions in the member menu. There you will find information about the condition which includes substances or ingredients thought to be beneficial for the condition. Click on the ingredient and there you will find out about the ingredient plus see a list of product examples which contain the ingredient. A given product may contain several beneficial ingredients. If you go to a product, it will list its ingredients. You can return to the ingredients section to learn more about other ingredients, but only if you are a member. Also in the member section be sure to read the disclaimer and the credibility ratings, our evaluation of the evidence for a substance's efficacy. Unlike many alternative health web sites, this one is evidence based. Also, if you are curious about where we get the information for this site (no, we didn't make it up) then see the references. The Articles section in the member menu has book reviews, references, and other health related articles. On this site you will also find great products. We hunt for significantly different products, the kind you don't find in your local health food store. Ever hear of MSM or SAMe? We had them before they were famous. We look for the new, the innovative and the rare. Since we are pharmacist owned, this site is scientifically based and has access to hand picked, high quality, evidence based, professional grade products marketed usually to health practitioners. You won't find hype, banner ads, or suspiciously cheap products, just great products and useful information. Orders are secure and we do not share your information with anyone.
